Wikileaks: switch.ch resiste

In questa storia c’è anche chi non cede alle pressioni. Un applauso a switch.ch, il registry dei siti .ch che si rifiuta di buttar giù wikileaks.ch:

SWITCH, the registry for .ch internet addresses, is currently receiving a large number of enquiries as to the circumstances under which SWITCH would delete wikileaks.ch. This is governed by law.

As the registry for .ch and .li domain names, SWITCH is not responsible for the content of websites. Whether the content of wikileaks.ch is of relevance for criminal law is a matter for the courts to decide on.

Statutory basis
A statutory basis, such as a court order, is required for the deletion of a domain name.

Semplice, no? Si prendono certi provvedimenti solo su ordine di un tribunale. Vallo a spiegare ai calabraghe Tableau Software, Amazon, easyDNS, PayPal, Mastercard, Postfinance, Visa.

  1. Bellissima la giustificazione di postfinance: non abbiamo confiscato i soldi di Assange, può venire a prenderseli quando vuole. Gli abbiamo “solo” bloccato l’accesso al conto corrente.
